Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 612
 Baltimore, Maryland

Troop 612 has a very long and rich history, dating back over 70 continuous years.

Troop 612 is known for its active camping program. We are located just inside the northern limits of Baltimore City, and most of our Scouts live within a few miles. However, our program has attracted Scouts from as far away as Reisterstown, Owings Mills, Lutherville, Timonium, Fallston, and Phoenix, Maryland.

Except for camping weekends and holidays, the Troop usually meets several times a month from September through June, and spends a week at a local Boy Scout Camp in July.

We usually try to offer a higher-adventure experience in the mid-summer while schools are out. Recent years have seen us backpacking the 62 mile Loyalsock Trail in central Pennsylvania, sailing at the Boy Scout National High Adventure Sea Base in Florida, and canoeing and whitewater rafting in the Adirondacks of New York State.

Our philosophy is a simple one – follow the Scouting program, give the boys the tools to run an effective Troop, and offer the activities they decide to do.

Membership has always hovered between 15 and 25 Scouts at any time, so there is little risk of getting lost in the crowd. We also have an excellent record of boys achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
